Dr. Foote grew up in a small central California town. He attended Brigham Young University, graduating in 1992 with a BS in Zoology. While at BYU he was a four-year member of the Men's Lacrosse Team.

In 1992, he graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. During his senior year of Medical School, he received the Upjohn Achievement Award. This award was given to the graduate who, in the opinion of his classmates, was the most well-rounded physician.

Dr. Foote completed a five-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas at San Antonio, finishing his training in 2001. He served in the US Navy from 2001 to 2005 as an active duty Orthopedic Surgeon. He was Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Davis Monthan Air Force Base during that period of time. He was responsible for two officers and four enlisted personnel and reported to the Hospital Commander. While in the Navy he received multiple awards and commendations for his outstanding service to the command. It was during his active duty military service, working with an athletic patient population that he decided complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine.

In 2006, he completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at the Lake Tahoe Orthopaedic Institute. While in Lake Tahoe, he trained with the Team Physicians for the US Ski and Snowboard Teams. During his fellowship he was able to hone his skills in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery of the knee and shoulder. He has been in practice in Ontario, Oregon since 2006.

His professional interests include arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery of the knee, shoulder and ankle, including shoulder and knee ligament reconstruction, ACL reconstruction and rotator cuff repair. He also has expertise in computer-assisted knee replacement as well as replacement of the hip and shoulder. He enjoys taking care of athletes of all ages and is team physician for Middleton High School and Treasure Valley Community College.

He has served on several hospital committees at Saint Alphonsus, Ontario, including Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Radiation Safety, Emergency Medicine and Surgical Services. He has been the Co-director of the Orthopaedic Service Line since 2010.

Dr. Foote resides in Fruitland, Idaho with his wife, Lori, and their four children. In his free time, Dr. Foote enjoys skiing, cycling and spending time in the outdoors with his family.
