An Idaho native, Dr. Rick Davis graduated from Boise High School in 1986. He attended Brigham Young University graduating with a B.S. in Nutritional Science in 1993. After completing two years of graduate studies in Exercise Science and Sports Studies at Boise State University he began his medical training at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky. He was elected AOA and graduated with high distinction in 1999. He then joined the University of Nebraska/Creighton University Orthopaedic Residency Program graduating in 2004.
Dr. Davis has served as a staff physician and orthopaedic surgeon in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nevada from 2004 to 2008. During his tenure in the military, Dr. Davis provided orthopaedic care to military members and their families as well as to retired military service men and women with an emphasis in sports injuries and arthritic conditions.
He was deployed to Iraq in 2006 and to Afghanistan in 2008 where he provided operative care to military service members and coalition forces as well as local nationals with battlefield injuries. He was awarded the Army Commendation medal and Meritorious Service medal for his accomplishments during his military service.
Since completing his military service, Dr. Davis has added a sports medicine fellowship to his experience. He and his family spent six months in beautiful Lake Tahoe where he completed a fellowship with the Lake Tahoe Sports Medicine Fellowship Program specializing in sports injuries, arthroscopy, and joint replacement.
Dr. Davis brings his wife, Tamara, and their four sons. They look forward to joining the community and serving the people of Eastern Oregon and Southwestern Idaho.
